What is a CourtPal Club?

Learn how to follow, join and participate in a club.

What is a CourtPal Club?

A CourtPal Club is a sports community. A venue is the place or business offering courts; a tournament is a competition. Use Clubs to find communities to follow or ask to join.

For players: find a club

  1. Open Clubs and use Search name or city, Sport, Location or Sort to explore the list. More filters includes options such as Verified and ratings.
  2. Open a club profile to review its information and activities. Similar Clubs suggests other sports communities; courts and venues are separate destinations.

Follow is separate from membership

Sign in and select + Follow to follow a club. Following does not submit a membership request or make you a member. The Following control lets you change that choice.

For players: request membership

  1. If signed out, select Join Club to sign in and return to the club profile.
  2. When signed in and not already a member, select Request to Join. The request waits for a club reviewer; it does not automatically activate membership.
  3. While waiting, the profile shows Request Pending and Cancel Request. Use Cancel Request if you no longer want to join.
  4. Once you are an active member, your club appears in Your Clubs. A member who is not the owner can use Leave. An owner must transfer ownership before leaving.

For club organizers

Review membership requests using the member-management controls available to your role. You can approve or reject requests. Approval is subject to the club’s membership capacity; a full club cannot guarantee a new member a place.

Example and common question

You can follow a club while your membership request is still pending. These are separate relationships. A submitted request or the Join Club button does not mean you have been approved.
